Trent Hardee

For me personally it is incredibly hard to remember what life was like before Christ, because I was raised in the church and Christ was always taught to me at home. I know I was a sinner because I believe that is what the Bible teaches, and speaking as honestly as I know how; all I really know about life before Christ is that I was a person in need of a savior.

I prayed to receive Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior at Vacation Bible School in the summer before I started 5th grade. Our pastor came to talk to us about Jesus, and he shared the gospel with us. My parents had been talking with me about accepting Jesus as my savior for many years as well. When Pastor Hamlet invited us to pray the sinner’s prayer to ask Jesus in our hearts - I decided right then and there to make that choice.

God has blessed me beyond anything I could have ever imagined or believed possible. I’m a husband, a father and a school teacher too, so life is full of unique and wonderful challenges. Certainly there have been times in life where I wasn’t sure what God was teaching me, and I would be the first to admit that there have been difficult times in my life that I could not understand. Jesus has been in every bright moment in my life and every dark corner too - the one constant in this crazy world we live in. My God never promised me the road would be easy . . . . but I can tell you without hesitation that Jesus Christ has been with me every step of the way since that summer day that I gave my heart to him.
