Mark Line

I had the great good fortune of grouwing up in a Christian home with parents that loved me and served the Lord. My childhood years revolved around our church and church activiites. Royal Ambassadors were a big part or my life and I had great encouragement from several very fine leaders that took us on camping trips and played all kinds of ball games with us. RA’s allowed me to learn about Jesus in a fun athmosphere with boys my age and leaders that cared about us. I am sure there were lots of times that I was a great deal of trouble for them but they continued to serve Christ by leading our group. I first remember feeling that I needed a personal Savior during RA’s at my church.

The summer when I was 9 years old at Camp Cedarmore in Baghdad Kentucky I accepted Jesus as my Savior. That week at camp I had a great counselor that made sure he talked to each of us abut our knowing for sure if we had accepted Jesus.I remember feeling like I was a real sinner and needed Jesus, it became personal, and I prayed the sinner’s prayer and felt assured that my place in Heaven was secured. When I returned from camp I prayed with Mom and Dad and met with my pastor to share my decesion, they were all very happy for me and I joined our church the next Sunday.

I have tried to follow Christ since that time, failing many times and asking for and recieveing His forgiveness. I have had many opportunities to serve Him thorugh the years in my church, my coaching and teaching and in camp settings.Though I have struggled many times with how best to serve and at others with if to serve, I know that in serving Him I find the most meaning for my life. I pray He will allow me to serve Him until he calls me home to be with Him forever.
