His Story
God has a story that He wants to tell. His story is about His plan for your life. Each person is created with a plan and a purpose. Have you ever wondered what God wanted you to do?
In other words, would you like to know the purpose of your life?

Have you been looking for your purpose?
God has a purpose for every person He has created.
Jeremiah 29:11
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Psalm 139:14 – 16
“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body.
All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.”
Many people have not found their purpose in life and therefore do not experience a life of joy and peace. On the contrary, they experience a life of…
Anger… Loneliness… Emptiness… Hurt… Unfulfillment…
Part of God’s purpose for our lives is that we experience a life of fulfillment and abundance.
John 10:10
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it more abundantly.” (KJV)
So if God wants us to experience this incredible life, why are so many people missing out?

As we just read, this peace comes from a personal relationship with God. But there’s a problem: A perfect, holy God cannot have fellowship with imperfect people. Our imperfections (also known as sin) have separated from God.
God created us in His image, but along the way, we missed the standard of perfection. In fact, that’s where we get the word “sin.” To sin is to miss the mark of perfection, just like an archer missing the target with his bow. As it turns out, all of us miss God’s mark for our lives.
Romans 3:23
“…for all have sinned (missed the target) and fall short of the glory of God,”
Romans 6:23
“For the wages of sin is death (separation from God), but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Yet, despite our imperfections, man has tried many ways to cross over this separation from God.

If you were to ask people, “How can we get to God?” you might hear some of these phrases:
- “Be a good person.”
- “Quit doing ‘bad’ things.”
- “Go to church.”
- “I’m good…my parents are Christians.”
Unfortunately, none of these come close to making us “good enough” to get to God.
Proverbs 14:12
“There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.”
Isaiah 59:2
“But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear.”
Since there is nothing we can do to get to God, He had to provide the way…the only way.
John 3:16
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

God offered us the perfect way to get to Him. It was through the death of His son Jesus Christ, that He built a “bridge” for us to gain access to heaven.
1 Timothy 2:5
“For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,”
You see, God’s purpose for our lives is to have fellowship with Him through a spiritual relationship with His son Jesus Christ. That’s it! That’s the key to a fulfilled and peace-filled life.
Romans 5:1
“…we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,”
So the question for you is this: Which side of the bridge are you on?

God’s story for your life centers around your relationship with Him. He wants to have a relationship with you. He wants that so much, that He makes it very simple. All He asks is that we:
- Admit that we are sinners (miss the mark for our lives) and turn away from the things cause us to sin,
- Believe in His son as the only way to get to heaven,
- Confess Jesus as the Lord of our lives.
Revelation 3:20
“Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.”
Romans 10:9
“That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
If you are ready to make His story part of your story, then we invite you to say this simple prayer and believe by faith that God is ready to hear your prayer:
“Lord Jesus, I need You. Thank You for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life and receive You as my Savior and Lord. Thank You for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Take control of my life and begin writing your story on my heart so that I can be the person you created me to be.”
If you prayed that prayer, we would like to send you some information to help you begin to write your story of God’s blessing on your life as you begin this new relationship with Him. Click HERE to provide us with your name and address.
