Hannah Martin
I grew up in First Baptist North Spartanburg. I was always taught how Jesus came to die on the cross and how he saved us from our sins. I don’t remember a lot about what my life was before Christ because I was very little.
When I was four years old I was talking to my mom about what we had learned in church and in Sunday School that day. We had talked about how when Jesus was a baby, He came to die on the cross to save us from our sins. I also learned that if you asked Him in your heart then you would be able to go to heaven one day with Jesus. So I told my mom and that I wanted to know Jesus as my Savior and I wanted to be in Heaven with Him someday. So I went to sit on my bed and my mom and I prayed the sinner’s prayer and on September 25, 1998, I asked Jesus in my heart.
God has helped me through a lot of trouble and problems in my life. Things like friends, family, and other concerns in my life forced me to go to God with them and He has helped me with them all. I still have hard times and I struggle with many things but I know that I can always trust GOD with any situation that I have.
