Evelyn Arrington

My childhood was like lots of others. My home was not a Christian home. The kids went to church, but my parents did not. We lived just around the corner from a Methodist Church and I attended it regularly. I loved the Bible school. When I was 16 I joined the church. I never realized that you were suppose to have a personal relationship with Jesus, but all my friends were joining so I thought it was the thing to do. I married at a very early age and my husband and I started going to a Baptist church because it was close to where we lived. It was in a revival that I found Jesus, or I should say He found me. I have never lived a perfect life, but Jesus knows what is in my heart.

Since I have been a Christian I have seen many miracles by my Lord. I will have to tell you that He opened the gates of Heaven when my brother died and let him in. How do I know this? As the preacher was praying and asking the Lord to let his friend in to Heaven, my brother breathed his last breath. GOD IS SO GOOD!! This is not the only miracle I have witnessed. My son was about to have two surgeries to save his life and I called people all over to ask them to pray for him. The next morning the doctor said the surgery was not necessary. DON”T TELL ME THAT GOD IS NOT STILL ANSWERING OUR PRAYERS!

As for myself I have failed God so many times, but He is always there to lift me back up. He has never put more on me than I can bear. He is my strength from day to day.
