Earlene Tarleton

I grew up in a Christain home in Salisbury, N.C. and was taken to church all my life. Even though my father was a Christain, my mother was the spiritual leader in our home. She made sure we were in church every Sunday for both morning and the evening service.

It was at age 11 during a revival service at our church that the Holy Spirit convicted me of my sins. Even though I wanted to go down front the devil kept making me think about what people would think of me if I went forward. My Sunday School teacher was sitting behind me that night and realized that I was struggling and asked me if I would like to go down. I told her I would. I went forward with my heart so heavy with sin I could hardly take a step forward. My pastor’s wife prayed with me, and I invited Jesus into my heart that night. I can honestly say I have never had such peace and happiness in all my life.

My life has not been without trials and tribulations since I became a Christain, but I can say without a doubt that GOD is faithful to his promises if you will just claim them and cling to them. He will never leave you nor forsake you.
