Carol Moore

I joined a small Methodist church at the age of 12 and thought that I was “safe” and would go to heaven b/c my name was on a church roll. I had a head knowledge of Jesus Christ but not a heart knowledge.

It wasn’t until I got married and started going to New Pisgah Baptist Church with my husband that I had a life changing experience. My daughter came to me at the age of 7 and said that she wanted to invite Jesus into her heart. I took her into our bedroom and we knelt beside my bed and there for the 1st time I realized that I was a sinner and that Jesus died for my sin. The Bible says “that all have sinned” so I confessed my sin and asked Jesus into my heart along with my daughter. Instead of my leading her to Christ, she led me!

I got up from there a new person, knowing that I was truly saved and that if I died right then I would go to heaven. My life changed from that day forward and I promised the Lord that I would live for him to the best of my ability and always seek to be a witness. I have peace and joy that only comes from knowing Jesus Christ. He is truly my Lord and Savior!
