Calvin Bolton

I had the wonderful privilege of growing up in a Christian home. My earliest memories are going to church services, singings, homecomings, reunions and other events at church. My parents were in the choir, and I knew we would be in church every Wednesday night and Sunday morning/evening. There was always a hot dog supper, ice cream social, RA’s or youth event during the week. There were always plenty of “good things” to do, “good places” to go, “good people” to be with, and “good causes” to be involved in.

I came to realize that good works were fine, but I could never be good enough on my own (Romans 3:12). There would never be enough good works, talent, education, or family background to justify eternal life with Christ (Romans 11:6). I had to put my faith in Christ and accept Him as Lord of my life and personal Savior.

God has blessed me beyond measure in so many ways. I am so thankful to Him for what He as done and for what He will continue to do in my life.
