I have been in sunday school since bedbabies. My family always was and still is at church. My Mom and Dad taught my sister and I about Jesus. Growing up I was taught right from wrong, according to the Bible’s standards. Of corse I still sinned; I was by no means perfect.
When I four years old I was on the way home from VBS in the car with my Mom. I started asking her questions about Jesus. I told her that I knew that I was a sinner and that Jesus died on the cross for my sins and that I wanted to ask Him into my heart so that I could live forever in heaven with Him. She said that we should wait on my daddy to get home from work before we did that. Now my dad usally got home around 6, and it was12:30. I did not want to wait that long. When we got home we went into the backyard to talk more. Within five minutes my daddy walked through the back door!!! I was soo excited. I realized later that that was all God’s doing. So me and my parents knelt down there in my yard and I asked Jesus to come into my heart!
Since then I have been striving to live for Christ. I attend church every Sunday, and more importantly try to become more like Jesus. I have been on two short term mission trips. My parents are on staff at church, so I am involved in their ministries as well. I love serving the Lord alongside my family!!
